Nathan Mays has been fighting for individuals charged with crimes in Federal and State Courts for fifteen years. After graduating from Baylor University School of Law in 1998, Nathan accepted a position as an Assistant District Attorney in Houston (Harris County), Texas.
Nathan spent five years as a prosecutor, and personally tried more than seventy jury trials during that time. In 2003 Nathan left the Harris County District Attorney’s office to begin his criminal defense practice. Since 2003 Nathan has focused exclusively on criminal defense, with more than half of his practice being in Federal Court. Nathan has defended clients charged with Federal Crimes in the following states; Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Virginia and Colorado. Nathan has appeared in federal court on behalf of over 100 clients in over fifty federal courts.
Mr. Mays has represented individuals charged with conspiring to possess with intent to distribute thousands of kilos of cocaine, thousands of kilos of heroin, over one hundred thousand kilos of marijuana, gallons of liquid methamphetamine, as well as cases involving numerous other controlled substances.
Nathan also represents people charged with state drug crimes, gambling crimes, and white collar offenses like fraud or embezzlement. The Mays Firm has been successful in getting charges dismissed in State court on more than one hundred cases, as well as multiple not guilty verdicts.
